We are specifically looking for candidates who started their careers in a technical role, such as a Developer, QA Engineer, or DevOps Engineer, and later transitioned into a Scrum Master role with at least 6 years of relevant Scrum Master experience. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have:

• Exposure to AI governance or AI security product areas
• Experience working on AI-related projects
• SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) experience
• Experience working on GRC SaaS products
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM/A-CSM/CSP) and/or SAFe certification (SAFe Scrum Master / SAFe Advanced Scrum Master / SAFe Program Consultant)
• 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 2+ years operating in a Scaled Agile environment (SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale, or similar) across multiple teams

About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Scrum Master to drive agile delivery for our GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) SaaS platform. This role sits at the center of a fast-paced, multi-team engineering organization operating within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). You'll be the backbone of sprint discipline across distributed, cross-time-zone teams building enterprise software for regulated industries — where quality, predictability, and release rigor genuinely matter.

This role goes beyond process facilitation: you're technically fluent enough to sit in architecture and design conversations, understand what's actually blocking the team, and speak credibly with engineers about code quality, technical debt, and delivery risk. You'll thrive on removing both process and technical friction, enforcing agile fundamentals without becoming a bureaucrat, and keeping multiple squads aligned toward a shared roadmap.

What You'll Do

• Facilitate and continuously improve all core Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint review, retrospectives) across one or more scrum teams
• Operate within a Scaled Agile model — coordinating PI planning, Scrum of Scrums, dependency mapping, and cross-team synchronization across multiple squads
• Enforce sprint discipline: protect the sprint commitment, manage scope creep, track velocity, burndown/burnup, and flag risks to delivery early
• Engage directly with engineers on technical impediments — build pipeline failures, environment issues, flaky tests, integration blockers — and help the team unblock them rather than just logging them
• Participate in technical discussions (architecture reviews, design walkthroughs, technical debt grooming) with enough fluency to ask the right questions and translate technical risk into delivery impact for stakeholders
• Support engineering and product teams working across multiple time zones — scheduling ceremonies, follow-ups, and communications that work for distributed teams without burning anyone out
• Partner closely with Product Owners/Managers and Tech Leads on backlog health, story readiness, technical debt prioritization, and non-functional requirements
• Identify, track, and actively resolve impediments — both team-level blockers and cross-team/organizational dependencies
• Coach teams and individuals on agile principles, ways of working, self-organization, and continuous improvement; mentor junior Scrum Masters where applicable
• Drive metrics and reporting (velocity, cycle time, predictability, escaped defects, sprint goal attainment, CI/CD pipeline health) to leadership and stakeholders
• Support release planning and coordination, including visibility into deployment readiness, test coverage, and Definition of Done
• Champion agile maturity improvements such as ceremony effectiveness, DoR/DoD discipline, and team health
• Manage escalations calmly in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, without compromising sprint integrity

Must-Have Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 2+ years operating in a Scaled Agile environment (SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale, or similar) across multiple teams
• Prior hands-on technical background (e.g., former developer, QA engineer, DevOps engineer, or systems analyst) or demonstrated strong technical fluency with the SDLC, APIs, and modern application architecture
• Comfortable reading architecture diagrams, understanding CI/CD pipelines, and following technical conversations well enough to identify and help resolve engineering blockers
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM/A-CSM/CSP) and/or SAFe certification (SAFe Scrum Master / SAFe Advanced Scrum Master / SAFe Program Consultant)
• Proven experience supporting SaaS product delivery, ideally in an enterprise or B2B context
• Demonstrated ability to enforce sprint discipline in high-velocity, fast-paced environments with frequent priority shifts
• Hands-on experience coordinating and supporting distributed teams across multiple time zones, including flexibility in working hours for overlap with global teams
• Strong command of agile and engineering tooling (Jira, Confluence, CI/CD dashboards, or equivalent) including reporting and backlog management
• Excellent facilitation, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder communication skills — comfortable pushing back on scope creep and unrealistic asks
• Track record of managing dependencies across multiple squads/teams and escalating risks proactively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical delivery status into clear, concise updates for product, engineering and executive audiences

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience working on a GRC, compliance, cybersecurity, or risk management product specifically
• Experience supporting both SaaS and on-premises/hybrid deployment models
• Exposure to AI governance or AI security product areas
• Experience mentoring or leading a community of practice for other Scrum Masters
• Hands-on familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and how pipeline health affects sprint planning
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices-based architectures
• Basic scripting or coding literacy (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SQL) sufficient to understand technical discussions, not necessarily to write production code
• Familiarity with test automation practices and their role in Definition of Done
• SAFe DevOps or similar technical-agile certification
• Lean/Kanban experience in addition to Scrum
• Experience with OKRs or similar goal-alignment frameworks tied to sprint and PI planning
