Senior WordPress Developer is looking for a seasoned Senior WordPress Developer based in India (Remote). We are a group of industry veterans disrupting the traditional agency model by prioritizing long-term partnerships over one-off projects. Our mission is simple: Build it Better.

As a Senior Developer, you aren't just writing code; you are a strategic thinker, a mentor, and a technical partner. You will bridge the gap between complex back-end logic and high-end front-end experiences while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Leadership: Lead the development of sophisticated WordPress sites, overseeing both front-end aesthetics and robust back-end architecture.
• Custom Engineering: Architect and develop custom themes and plugins from the ground up, ensuring they meet rigorous security and coding standards.
• Site Orchestration: Manage multiple high-traffic marketing websites, overseeing core updates, plugin maintenance, and content management strategies.
• Performance & SEO: Analyze performance metrics and implement advanced solutions to optimize render times, download speeds, and SEO rankings.
• Technical Partnership: Collaborate with Technical Architects and Engagement Managers to support technical design, backlog grooming, and client consultations.
• Quality Assurance: Act as a champion for best practices by conducting thorough code reviews and unblocking team members through automation and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years of professional web development experience (minimum 3+ years specifically creating custom WordPress solutions from scratch).
• Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, and jQuery.
• API Integration: Deep familiarity with consuming and integrating RESTful APIs using both JavaScript and PHP.
• Modern Workflow: Advanced understanding of the entire development lifecycle, including Git version control, DevOps concepts, and deployment automation.
• Gutenberg & Block Development: Extensive experience with custom Gutenberg block development and components, deep understanding of the Gutenberg editor, including block registration and editor-friendly layouts, and familiarity with Full Site Editing (FSE) and modern WordPress theming best practices.
• Design Sensibility: Strong knowledge of UX/UI design principles and a mobile-first, responsive coding philosophy.
• Problem Solving: A self-starter who thrives on "learning and discovery"—when you don't know the answer, you have the drive to find it.
