Engagement Type: Freelance / Contract

Location: Remote

We are looking for a freelancer with deep expertise in Power BI and DAX to build an automated solution that can analyze Power BI artifacts and generate documentation, metadata mappings, and business logic explanations using AI/LLM technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Power BI PBIX files, datasets, and semantic models.
• Extract and document:
• DAX measures
• Calculated columns and tables
• Relationships and dependencies
• Data sources
• KPIs and business logic
• Map DAX calculations to underlying tables and columns.
• Develop automation to generate technical and business documentation from Power BI reports.
• Leverage AI/LLM solutions to explain report logic and dependencies in business-friendly language.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Power BI
• Advanced DAX knowledge
• Power Query (M Language)
• Semantic Models and Data Modeling
• Python and SQL
• Experience working with Power BI metadata extraction tools/APIs
• Experience with AI/LLM technologies and automation

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Fabric
• Azure OpenAI/OpenAI APIs
• LangChain, Semantic Kernel, RAG frameworks
• Data lineage and impact analysis experience
