Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture: Architect, build, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure natively on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- CI/CD & GitOps: Lead the design and implementation of modern CI/CD pipelines using advanced DevOps and GitOps practices for automated software delivery.
- OS & Virtualization Management: Oversee enterprise infrastructure services, including Windows and Linux operating systems administration, and support the integration or migration of virtualization workloads (VMware/Hyper-V) via AWS migration hubs.
- Identity & Access Management: Manage enterprise authentication and authorization frameworks utilizing AWS IAM, AWS IAM Identity Center (formerly AWS SSO), SAML, and RBAC.
- Containerization: Implement and manage containerized workloads using Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS (Kubernetes) in highly available production environments.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the automation of infrastructure provisioning, deployment processes, and operational workflows using modern declarative languages.
- AI-Driven Cloud Operations (AIOps): Introduce and adopt AI-driven operations (AIOps) for advanced AWS monitoring, automated alerting, anomaly detection, and incident response.
- AI Productivity Enhancement: Leverage AI-based tools and generative AI assistants (e.g., Amazon Q Developer) to improve code scripting, rapid troubleshooting, and workflow automation efficiency.
- FinOps & Security Governance: Continuous monitoring of AWS system performance, availability, cost optimization (FinOps), and security posture. Lead incident management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for critical production issues.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to mature deployment strategies, infrastructure hardening, and overall platform reliability.
Required Skills
- Operating Systems: Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux (Amazon Linux, Red Hat, Ubuntu) administration in enterprise environments.
- AWS Identity & Security: Solid understanding of enterprise identity management, including AWS IAM, Organizations, SCPs, SAML federated SSO, and fine-grained RBAC.
- Network & Perimeter Security: Hands-on experience with AWS networking components (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53) alongside third-party virtual security appliances (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet Cloud firewalls).
- CI/CD Expertise: Strong understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment concepts, automated release management, and blue/green or canary deployment strategies.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in standard IaC practices using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Scripting & Automation: Strong programming and scripting skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell for operations automation.
- Containers & Orchestration: Thorough hands-on knowledge of Docker containerization and Kubernetes management (specifically Amazon EKS and Helm).
- Observability & Analytics: Experience with modern monitoring, distributed tracing, and centralized logging frameworks (AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenSearch/ELK Stack).
- AIOps & Emerging Tech: Exposure to AI-driven automation concepts, automated log analysis, and intelligent alerting is highly preferred.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong technical leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and root-cause analysis skills.

- Scripting: Python, Bash/Shell
- Observability & Automated Monitoring: AWS CloudWatch, Amazon Managed Prometheus & Grafana, Amazon OpenSearch Service / ELK Stack, AWS CloudTrail
- Hybrid/Virtualization (Value Add): AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), VMware Cloud on AWS
- Collaboration Tools: Jira, Confluence
- AI & Automation Tools (Value Add): Amazon Q Developer (formerly CodeWhisperer), Amazon DevOps Guru (AIOps/Intelligent monitoring), automated incident response frameworks.
