Overview

Define, document, and enable a standard best-practice approach for Tableau Pulse, including the data source, permission, and content-development changes needed to make our Tableau environment AI-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Document a standard + best-practice approach, rollout plan, and enablement path for Tableau Pulse.
• Assess current IH Tableau content development and publishing practices; recommend the shifts required for day-1 AI-ready datasets (for Pulse and Tableau MCP).
• Inventory and document current-state permissions; flag security/permission risks and recommend a go-forward permission management model.
• Assess the Tableau Cloud data source inventory and build an automated approach for converting packaged data sources into published data sources.

Required Skills

• Deep, hands-on Tableau Pulse experience at enterprise scale (metric definitions, subscriptions, enablement/adoption).
• Strong command of Tableau Cloud permissions architecture: projects, groups, roles, locked permissions, row-level security.
• Proven experience designing AI/analytics-ready published data sources and governed certification standards.
• Ability to automate data source conversion and migration (Tableau REST/Metadata APIs, Python, tabcmd).
• Experience producing clear enterprise documentation and standards for both technical and business audiences.

Preferred Skills

• Tableau MCP / Tableau AI feature exposure.
