Duck Creek QA Analyst – Cloud Migration
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Duck Creek QA Analyst with strong hands-on experience in Duck Creek Policy and US P&C Insurance. The candidate should be strong in functional testing, test scenario/test case design, rating and premium validation, SQL/data validation, and migration/upgrade testing. The candidate will work closely with business users, the client QA team, and the system integrator.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute functional test scenarios and test cases
- Perform Duck Creek Policy testing across the complete policy lifecycle
- Validate rating and premium calculations
- Test Billing and/or Claims workflows
- Perform regression testing
- Validate APIs and integrations
- Perform SQL-based data validation and migration reconciliation
- Test batch jobs and scheduled processes
- Log clear and detailed defects in Jira/Azure DevOps
- Support UAT activities
- Prepare test data for business users
- Maintain regression test packs
- Track daily testing status, coverage, defects, and risks
- Support state rollout testing
Required Skills
- 5+ years of overall QA experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Duck Creek testing
- Strong hands-on experience with Duck Creek Policy
- Hands-on experience in Duck Creek Billing OR Duck Creek Claims
- Strong knowledge of US P&C Insurance
- Experience with Personal and Commercial Lines
- Hands-on rating and premium validation
- Good understanding of the policy lifecycle

- Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation
- Experience with migration, upgrade, or major release testing

- Comfortable working with US business users
- Availability for India working hours with US Eastern Time overlap

Strong SQL knowledge is required for:
- Source vs. target data validation
- Migration reconciliation
- Policy data validation
- Billing data validation
- Claims data validation
- Joins and aggregate queries
API / Integration Testing
Good hands-on experience with Postman/API testing is preferred. Exposure to:
- REST APIs
- JSON
- HTTP status codes
- Duck Creek Anywhere APIs
- Agent portals
- Payment services
- Document/print services
- Third-party integrations
- Reporting extracts
Migration / Upgrade Testing
Candidate should have completed at least one full testing cycle for a:
- Duck Creek upgrade
- Cloud migration
- Major product release
Candidate should be able to explain:
- What was migrated/upgraded
- What was tested
- What issues were identified
- How the issues were detected
- How data was reconciled
