D365 QA Engineer – Manual & Automation Testing (Selenium/Playwright)
Overview
We are looking for an experienced D365 QA Engineer with strong expertise in functional testing and test automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in understanding business requirements, designing and executing test scenarios, managing defects, and validating end-to-end business processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) environments. The candidate should possess strong functional testing experience in D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and/or D365 Customer Engagement (CE). Candidates with relevant testing experience in other enterprise ERP/CRM platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or ServiceNow may also be considered. The role requires experience across the complete software testing lifecycle, along with exposure to modern code-based automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress. The selected candidate should be capable of working independently with minimal day-to-day supervision and collaborating effectively with development and business teams to drive defect resolution and quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business and functional requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios and test cases.
- Plan, design, execute, and document functional testing activities across the software testing lifecycle.
- Perform end-to-end business process validation within D365 F&O, D365 CE, or equivalent ERP/CRM platforms.
- Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and retesting activities.
- Identify, log, prioritize, track, and validate defects through closure.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to drive timely defect resolution.
- Create and maintain test plans, test suites, test cases, and test execution reports.
- Manage test activities using Azure DevOps Test Plans, Test Suites, Work Items, and Defect Tracking.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or other modern code-based automation frameworks.
- Validate application functionality, business workflows, integrations, and end-to-end processes.
- Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not impacted by new releases or changes.
- Participate in requirement reviews, test planning, defect triage, and quality assurance discussions.
- Work independently and take ownership of assigned testing activities with minimal supervision.
- Explore and adopt AI-assisted testing capabilities and modern automation practices as part of the delivery process.
Required Skills
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Strong understanding of the complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
- Ability to understand requirements and independently create and execute test scenarios and test cases.
- Strong experience in functional testing, defect management, retesting, and regression testing.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans, Test Suites, Work Item Management, and Defect Tracking.
- Strong functional testing experience in D365 F&O and/or D365 CE.
- Experience testing enterprise ERP/CRM business processes and performing end-to-end business process validation.
- Experience collaborating with development teams to investigate, resolve, and close defects.
- Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Automation Skills
The candidate should have demonstrated hands-on exposure to test automation and should be able to quickly ramp up and contribute effectively. Preferred automation experience includes:
- Strong hands-on coding and test automation experience using Playwright.
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or other modern code-based automation tools.
- Experience developing, executing, debugging, and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Understanding of automation framework design and test automation best practices.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.
AI-Assisted Testing Exposure
- Basic familiarity with AI-assisted testing capabilities.
- Exposure to tools and capabilities such as Playwright Agents and MCP-based testing tools is preferred.
- Willingness to learn, adopt, and implement AI-assisted testing capabilities as part of project delivery.
Alternative Domain Experience
Candidates with strong functional testing experience in the following enterprise platforms may also be considered:
- SAP
- Oracle
- Salesforce
- ServiceNow
- Other large-scale ERP/CRM platforms
Such candidates should have strong experience in end-to-end business process validation and demonstrated exposure to modern code-based test automation.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of API testing and integration testing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to enterprise application integrations.
- Strong documentation and test reporting skills.
- Experience working with distributed teams across IST and UK time zones.
Other Details
- Candidates must have strong functional testing experience in D365 F&O / D365 CE or equivalent enterprise ERP/CRM platforms.
- Candidates should have hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or another modern code-based automation tool.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in an IST/UK time-zone overlap.
- The role is fully remote.
- Contract duration is 3–6 months, with a possibility of extension.
