Shift: 1 to 10 pm

The Playwright Automation Tester will be responsible for assessing existing automation assets, developing and modernizing automated test scripts using Playwright, converting Selenium-based automation to Playwright, and supporting the establishment of Golden Regression Suites for critical banking applications. The role will work closely with QA, SMEs, Business Analysts, and Architects to ensure scalable, maintainable, and reliable test automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing automation frameworks, test assets, and execution history for in-scope applications.
• Develop new automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Convert existing Selenium automation scripts to Playwright.
• Participate in automation coverage assessments and baseline establishment.
• Validate automated tests against business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop maintainable Page Object Model (POM) frameworks and reusable automation components.
• Execute automated regression suites and ensure scripts pass multiple consecutive executions in non-production environments.
• Integrate Playwright scripts with Azure DevOps pipelines where applicable.
• Support traceability between requirements, test cases, and automated scripts.
• Collaborate with SMEs and QA teams to identify Golden Regression Suite candidates.
• Troubleshoot automation failures and distinguish between script defects, application defects, test data issues, and environment issues.
• Contribute to automation standards, best practices, reusable assets, and governance documentation.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, reviews, and project status reporting.

Technical Skills

• 8+ years of QA Automation experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Playwright automation experience.
• Strong proficiency in:

• Experience designing automation frameworks using:
• Page Object Model (POM)
• Data-Driven Frameworks
• Hybrid Automation Frameworks
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and pipeline execution.
• Experience with cross-browser testing and regression automation.
• Selenium automation background with migration experience to Playwright.
• Banking, financial services, or regulatory application testing experience.
• Experience with work item traceability.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, or AI-assisted automation generation.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise regression suites.
